Cumhuriyet’in ilk 25 senesinde pozitivist ve katı laikçi bir uygulama görüldü. Medreseler ve tekkeler kapatıldı. Okullarda ve devlet eliyle din öğretimi yapılmadı. Bu boşluğu kısmen aileler, evlerdeki nine ve dedeler kapattı.
İnanç esaslarını, ibadetleri, namaz kılmayı, sure ve duaları evdeki büyükler çocuklara öğrettiler. Zamanla orta ve ileri yaştakiler ölünce dini bilenler kalmadı.
Tabiat boşluğu affetmez. Yeni nesiller dinlerini nasıl öğrenecekti? Bu alandaki ihtiyaç gittikçe büyüdü. Din hizmeti görenler birer birer hayata veda edince, cami görevlilerine ihtiyaç arttı. Bazı köy ve kasabalarda cenaze namazı kıldıracak ve usulüne uygun cenaze defni yapacak kimse bulunmaz oldu.
1940 sonlarına doğru İmam-Hatip kursları açıldı. Bunun amacı cami hizmetleri için acil eleman yetiştirmekti. 1949 ise Ankara Ü. İlahiyat Fakültesi açıldı.
BİLGİYE DAYANAN DİN
Kutsala inanma, din insanın en doğal ihtiyaçlarındandır. İnanç dünyasında duygular geniş yere sahiptir. Duygu esnektir, sınır tanımaz. Sadece duyguya dayanan din anlayışı yanlış yönlere sapabilir. Onun için dinin, bilgiyle desteklenmesi gerekir.
Kaynaklara dayalı sağlam din bilgisi ancak ciddi bir eğitim öğretimle verilebilir.
Bizim bin yıllık bir dini geçmişimiz var. Biz millet olarak Sünni din anlayışına sahibiz. Bugün de bu anlayışı sürdürmek durumundayız. Çocuklarımıza ve her yaştan insanımıza vereceğimiz din eğitim ve öğretimi tarihi tecrübemize uygun olmalıdır. Aksi takdirde bünyemize uymayan yabancı anlayışlar insanımızı ağına düşürür. Onun için din öğretimi veren kurumlarımıza gözümüz gibi bakmalıyız. Onların tarihi-milli çizgimizden sapmasına fırsat vermemeliyiz.
Bu nasıl sağlanır? Din öğretimi veren bütün kurumlar devletimizin denetiminde olmalı. Birer devlet kurumu olan Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı ve Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı, her türlü din öğretimi veren yapıyı yakından kontrol etmeli. Bu, halen geniş çapta yapılıyor.
Din öğretimi veren çok sayıda İmam- Hatip Lisesi ve İlahiyat Fakültesi bulunmaktadır.
Sayı çokluğu kalite kaybına yol açsa da günümüzde bu öğretim kurumlarından seviyeli mezunlar çıkmakta ve Türkiye’nin ihtiyacına fazlasıyla yetmektedir.
ARKADAN DOLANMA
Buna rağmen bazı cemaat ve grupların açtığı Kur’an kurslarına veya legal olmayan medreselere, daha ilkokul çağında aldıkları öğrenciler var. Medrese usulü dini ilimler tahsil eden bu çocuklardan yetenekli olanları, dışarıdan ilkokul, orta lise ve ilahiyat sınavlarını verdirerek, Diyanet kadrolarında ve İlahiyat Fakültelerinde yer kapma yarışına girmekteler.
Yetişme tarzı bakımından bunlar arasında bazen sakınca doğuracak din anlayışına sahip olan kimseler çıkabilir. Onun için bu uygulamaya son verilmelidir.
Demokratik bir ülkede buna kim son verecek? Sözüm o tür kurumların yöneticilerinedir.
Türkiye’de Cumhuriyetin 100. yılında, resmi din öğretimi rayına oturmuştur. Lütfen devletinize güvenin, emeğinizi ve sermayenizi daha başka yerlerde değerlendirin.
