Bornova muhteşem bir camiye kavuştu. 22 Kasım Cuma günü Cumhurbaşkanı tarafından caminin dualarla açılışı yapılmıştı. O gün hava yağmurlu olduğu için törende bulunamamıştım. Bu defa caminin bütün bölümlerini gezdim. Gerçekten görkemli bir eser.
Kamuoyunda bu cami Ege Üniversitesi Kampüs Camisi olarak biliniyor. Ben de öyle sanıyordum. Şantiye şefi Yusuf Bey’den öğrendiğime göre bu caminin Üniversite ile hiçbir ilgisi yokmuş. Yerini Hazineden satın alarak ve bütün masrafını karşılayarak camiyi hayırsever iş adamı Bilal Saygılı yaptırmış.
Ege Üniversitesi ile ilgisi şu; kampüsün kuzey doğu köşesinde sınır komşusu durumunda. Bu yüzden Üniversitenin çok geniş yerleşkesinin köşesine denk gelen cami oraya ait sanılıyor. Tabii ki Üniversite ve öğrencileri için bu komşuluk bir nimettir.
KALİTELİ BİR İNŞAAT
Caminin içi ferah ve aydınlık. Süslemeler, çiniler ve hatlar kaliteli. Kubbe yüksekliği 28 metre. İç mekan 3 bin kişilik. Geniş dış mekan da kullanılırsa 7 bin kişi aynı anda namaz kılabilir. Avlunun doğusunda bir zarif şadırvan, onun altında zemin katta geniş ve ferah abdest alma yerleri ve tuvaletler mevcut. Her yer tertemiz. Özel otoparkı var.
Caminin alt kısmında bir konferans salonu, çeşitli odalar ve yemekhane bulunuyor. Yakında ihtiyaç sahibi öğrenciler için yemek çıkmaya başlayacak.
Burası bir Külliye olup, inşaatın bütün birimlerinde en kaliteli malzeme kullanılmıştır. Hiçbir masraftan kaçınmayan ve halen MÜSİAD İzmir Şubesi başkanı olan sanayici Bilal Saygılı’ya İzmir olarak teşekkür ederiz.
MİMARİNİN RUHU
Caminin projesi mimar Necip Dinç’e ait. Türkiye’de Cami Mimarı olarak dikkati çeken Necip Dinç bu alanda birçok esere imza atmıştır. Osmanlı mimarisinin özünü ve zarafetini yakalamaya çalıştığı biliniyor. Eserlerine inancını ve değerlerini yansıtma çabası güder.
Tanpınar’ın muhteşem bir ifadesi var: “Cedlerimiz inşa etmiyor, ibadet ediyorlardı. Maddeye geçmesini istedikleri bir ruh ve imanları vardı” der. Bu ölçü ve anlayış Necip Dinç için de geçerli sayılır.
SABANCI’DA ŞEB-İ ARUS
Yarın akşam (24 Aralık Salı) saat 18.00‘den itibaren Sabancı Kültür Merkezi’nde, İlahiyat Fakültesi ve Dokuz Eylül Ü. Mevlana Araştırma Merkezi’nin düzenlediği Şeb-i Arus programı var. Önce pilav ikram edilecek. Ardından Mevlana soyundan gelen Esin Çelebi Bayru Hanımefendi ” Hz. Mevlana’nın Günümüz Gençliğine Mesajı” adlı konuşmasını sunacak. Ben de “İzmir Mevlevihanesi“ni anlatacağım.
İkinci bölümde Ümit Yazıcı ve ekibi III. Selim’in Suz-i Dilara Ayin-i Şerifini icra edecek, ardından sevilen tasavvuf musikisi parçaları sunacaklar. Giriş serbesttir.
