Geçtiğimiz Cumartesi günü Karşıyaka Beşikçioğlu Camisi’nde bir cenaze töreni vardı. Emekli öğretmen Sevim Atilla Akbaylar hanımefendi, bir gün önce Cuma sabahı ruhunu teslim etmişti, yaşı 85’ti.
Ben kendisini kızı Dr. Hale Akpınar vasıtasıyla tanıdım. Hale hanım, alanında çok iyi, insani meziyetleri üstün, başarılı bir hekimdir. Tanıdığım Sevim Akbaylar vakar sahibi ve sevecen bir hanımefendi idi.
1934 doğumlu Sevim hanım, Kızılçullu (şimdiki Şirinyer) Köy Enstitüsü’nü bitirmiş bir öğretmendir. 1952’de mezun olduktan sonra kardeşlerini de yanına alarak Türkiye’nin çeşitli vilayetlerinde görev yaptı. 1963 yılında Galip Akbaylar ile evlendi, Hale ve Lale adlı 2 kızı ve bunlardan 4 kız torunu vardır.
Büyük kızı Prof. Dr. Hale Akpınar, Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Gastroenteroloji Bölümü’nde öğretim üyesi, diğer kızı Op. Dr. Lale Dinçer özel bir merkezde göz doktoru olarak görev yapmaktadır.
İYİ İNSAN
Okumaya, şiire ve yazmaya öğrenciliğinde başladı, bu merakı hiçbir zaman tükenmedi, yayınlanan şiirlerinin yanı sıra Hürriyet Gazetesi roman yarışmasında bir romanı derece aldı. “Ayşe ile Mehmet” adında şiir dizisi dönemin ünlü çizeri Eflatun Nuri tarafından resimlendi ve tefrika halinde yayımlandı.
Sevim hanım kızlarını iyi yetiştirdi, ikisine de tıp tahsili yaptırdı. Dört torunu ile de çok yakından ilgilenirdi. Onlara merhameti, şefkati, aile bağının önemini, kardeşliği ve sevmeyi öğretti. İki kızının ve torunlarının iyilikleri onun için en büyük mutluluk kaynağı olmuştur.
Anne ve baba tarafından Boşnak alan Sevim Atilla Akbaylar, 2013 yılında da İzmirli Boşnaklar Derneği tarafından ‘yılın annesi’ ödülüne layık görülmüştür.
BOŞNAKLAR
Osmanlı Devleti’nin Balkanlar ayağı tarihimizde önemli yer işgal eder. Bosna, İstanbul’dan sadece on yıl sonra 1463’te fethedildi. Oralara yeni bir medeniyet götürdük. Türk-İslam kültürü Bosna’da da benimsendi. Modern Boşnak kimliği Osmanlı yönetimi sırasında şekillendi.
Balkanlara giderken “Bin atlı akınlarda çocuklar gibi şendik.” Sonra devran döndü, durakladık, geriledik. Avrupa ve Rusya oralardaki Türk varlığına son vermek istedi. Anavatan’a göçler başladı. Önce imkanı olan varlıklı aileler Anadolu’nun yolunu tuttu. İşte Sevim hanımın büyük dedesi Halil Ağa (Çakoviç) 1850’lerde Anadolu’ya göçüp gelen Boşnaklardandır.
Boşnaklar son Bosna Savaşı sırasında Osmanlı mirası Mostar Köprüsü’nü yıkacak tankların önüne kendilerini attılar. Bosna’nın efsanevi lideri Aliya İzzet Begoviç “Bilge Kral” diye anılır. Çok büyük zulüm ve işkencelere rağmen Boşnaklar, dinlerinden ve kimliklerinden hiçbir taviz vermediler. Evlâd-ı Fatihan olmanın bilinci ile hareket ettiler. Bugün Mostar, Başçarşı, Hüdavendigar Türbesi yerinde ise bu bilince borçluyuz.
