Bir önceki yazıda Kadifekale’yi Pagos’laştırma rezaletinden söz etmiştim.
İzmir’in kalıcı fethi Aydınoğlu Mehmet Bey’in 1310’da Kadifekake’yi ele geçirmesiyle başladı. Fetih sadece bir yeri almakla olmaz. Toprağın ‘vatan’ olması, o yerin imarıyla, oralarda mekan tutan bilginlerle, Hak dostlarıyla ve onlara ait yapılarla gerçekleşir.
Şehir tarihçisi Prof. Tuncer Baykara’ya 14. asırda Kadifekale çevresinde çok sayıda zaviye bulunduğunu yazar. Zaviye, dini-tasavvufi inanç merkezi demektir.
Yusuf Baba ve Bayezit Baba zaviyeleri bunlardandır. Bu zaviyelerin kuruluşlarıyla ilgili bilgimiz yoksa da sonraki yüzyıllara ait vakıf belgeleri vardır. Yani bu mekanlar yirminci asrın başlarına kadar hizmet sunmaya devam etmişlerdir.
YUSUF BABA
Anadolu’nun Türkleşmesi ve İslamlaşması sürecinde pek çok gezginci Türk dervişi sınır boylarında zaviye kurarak bölge insanına dinlerini ve kültürlerini tanıtmaya çalışmıştır. Yusuf Baba’nın da bunlardan biri olduğu söylenir. Bu tür dervişler temsil kabiliyeti yüksek, dinamik ve idealist kimselerdir. Bunların işi gönülleri fethetmektir. Silah gücüyle elde edilen topraklar, bu tür kimselerin gayret ve çalışmasıyla vatan haline gelir.
Evliya Çelebi İzmir’i anlatırken Yusuf Baba tekkesini ziyaret ettiğini söyler (1671). Önemli bir ziyaret yeri olan bu mekan, İzmir’in en tepesinde sanki kadim bir muhafız gibi durmaktaydı.
Mustafa Üzel’in yazdığı ‘Arapsaçı’ adlı kitapta (2019) Yusuf Baba tekkesinin bir başka özelliği üzerinde durulur. Yusuf Baba aynı zamanda Afro-Türklerin, yani Afrika kökenli Türk vatandaşlarımızın itibar gösterdiği bir yerdi. Onların ‘Dana bayramı’ meşhurdu. 20. asrın ilk yarısına kadar süren bu bayramda, söz konusu dana, Yusuf baba tekkesinde kurban edilir ve eti paylaştırılırdı.
PAGOS GAFLETİ
Kısaca Kadifekale eteklerindeki Yusuf Baba tekkesi İzmir’in dini ve sosyal hayatında önemli yere sahip olan bir mekandı.
Sonra ne oldu dersek; Yusuf Baba, Bayezit Baba ve Cüneyd Bey ziyaretgahlar bir gecede yerle bir edildi. Mezarlıkları imara açmak veya yol geçirmek amacıyla silip süpürüldü. Yusuf Dede Caddesi, Rakım Elkutlu caddesi oldu.
Dünyanın başka yerlerinde yeni kurulan devletler, kendilerine bir tarih icat etmek için gayret gösterirken, maalesef biz birçok tarihi ve kültürel değerlerimizi bilinçsizce ortadan kaldırdık.
1622 yılında İzmir’e gelen bir misyoner, Yusuf Baba türbesinin Polycarp adında bir Hristiyan azizine ait olduğunu söylemişse de M. Üzel bunun yanlışlığını ortaya koymaktadır. Biz sahip olamazsak başkaları sahiplenir.
Son yıllarda tarihimizle ve kültürümüzle barışmaya başladık. Pek çok tahribattan sonra geriye kalan az sayıda yapıları canlandırıp tekrar hayatımıza katmaya çalışıyoruz.
Ne yazık ki bu olumlu çalışmalar yanında, İzmir’de 7 yüzyıllık Kadifekale’yi Pagos’a çevirmek gibi sakat davranışlar can sıkıcı oluyor.
NOT: Bir önceki yazıdan sonra şunları öğrendim: Kadifekale’nin içi ‘Yusuf Baba Vakfı’ adına tescilli olup halen mülkiyeti Vakıflar’a aittir. 30.01.2019’da burada Pagos Üretici Pazarı kurmak üzere belediyenin yaptığı başvuru, İzmir vakıflar Bölge Müdürlüğü’nce kabul edilmedi.
Bu doğrultuda 18.07.2019’da ret yazısı tekrarlandı. O sırada Bölge Müdürü Fethi Koç’un tayini çıktı. Büyükşehir yeni girişimlerde bulundu ve pazar açıldı.
