Çocukluğumun bir kısmı ve ilk gençlik yıllarım Konya’da geçti. Evimiz şehrin doğusunda o zamanlar kenarda sayılan bir semtteydi. 1951-1961 arası on yıl boyunca ilk ve orta öğretim senelerinde şehrin merkezindeki okullarıma önce yaya gidip geldim. Daha sonra bir bisikletim oldu.
Kış aylarında çok kar yağardı. Evimizin ön tarafında Devlet Üretme Çiftliğinin çok geniş bir çayırlık alanı vardı. Kuzeye baktığı ve açık alan olduğu için kapı önlerinde benim boyuma yakın kat biriktiğini hatırlıyorum. Ahşaptan yapılmış geniş kar küreklerimiz vardı. Onlarla kar yığınları arasında bir yol açılır, oradan gidip gelirdik.
Kar yağışı dolasıyla okullarda öğretime ara verildiğini pek hatırlamıyorum. O yıllarda şehirlerin nüfusu ve trafik azdı. Okul servisi diye bir uygulama ve kavram yoktu. Olsa bile ailelerin servis ücreti ödeyecek maddi gücü bulunmazzdı. Şehrin içinde belediye otobüsü ve dolmuş uygulaması sonraları çıktı.
NERDE ESKİ KIŞLAR!
İklimler değişti, yağışlar azaldı. Evet artık eski karlar yağmıyor. Kuraklık artıyor. Gene de Bolu Dağı gibi yüksek yerlerde her kış kar sebebiyle bir sıkıntı oluşur. Bu yıl galiba durum daha zorlu geçti, yollardaki araç sayısı her geçen gün arttığı için, birkaç tırın arıza yapmasıyla 40-50 km.lik araba kuyruğu oluşuveriyor. 21’inci yüzyılda 2022 senesinde bile, insanlar gecenin ayazında beklemek, açlık ve sağlık tehlikesiyle karşı larşıya kalmak durumunda kalabiliyor.
Antep-Adana-Tarsus otoyolunda trafik durdu. Buralar kar yağışına pek alışık olmadığı için büyük sıkıntı yaşandı. Kara Yolları’nın karla mücadele araçları ve ekipleri her yere birden aynı anda yetişemezdi. Yollarda zorlu saatler yaşandı. Bu durumdan siyasi malzeme çıkaranlar oldu. Bu hafta başında ise kar sebbeiyle bir ara İstanbul’a giriş çıkışlar yasaklandı.
Mevsimler, kar, yağmur, sel birer doğa olayıdır, dünya kurulduğundan beri vardır. Kış kışlığını yapacaktır. Tabiata fazla müdahale ettik. Sınırları zorladığımızda doğanın dengesi bozulur, aleyhimizde sonuçlara yol açar. Yeryüzünü imar etmeyecek miyiz? Elbette yollar yapacağız, ama kış şartları için tedbirimizi alacağız. Kış gelince kar lastiğini ihmal etmeyeceğiz.
CELAL-CEMAL DENGESİ
Unutmamalıyız, kar bir nimettir. “Beyaz felaket!”, “Beyaz esaret!” gibi abartılı haber metinleri yapıp, aşırı şikayet taşıyan ifadelerden kaçınmak gerek.
Hakk’ın Cemal ve Celal tecellileri vardır. Cemal bize hoş gelen, Celal ise sıkıntıya yol açan olaylardır. Aslında Cemal ve Celal iç içedir. Olgun insana düşen Celal içindeki Cemali görebilmektir. Kar yağışları bazılarını sıkıntıya sokabilir ama yer altı sularının zenginleşmesi, barajların dolması için kar bir nimettir. Toprağı kaplayan beyaz örtünün pek çok faydaları vardır.
On gündür İzmir’de ciddi soğuklar vardı. Cadde ve sokallar tenhaydı. Kalem almak için bir kırtasiyeciye girdim. “İşler nasıl, soğuktan dolayı müşteri azdır sanırım” dedim. Ben şikayet sözleri bekliyordum. Genç esnafımızın cevabı beni şaşırttı ve mutlu etti: “Amca, dedi, soğuk da lazım, kış da, şükür halimize!”
