İlk makale doğrudan konuyla ilgili, başlığı şöyle: ‘Türk devlet felsefesi açısından siyaset tarikat/cemaat ilişkisi.’
Yazarı Doç. Fatih M. Şeker Türk düşünce tarihi uzmanı genç bir bilim ve fikir adamı. ‘Türklerin İslam Tasavvuru’, ‘Türk Dini Düşüncesinin Teşekkül Devri’, ‘Osmanlı Entelektüel Geleneği’ gibi değerli kitapları var. Yazarımızın temel fikirlerinden biri şudur: Baştan beri Türkler müslümanlığı tasavvuf üslubu içinde benimsediler. Selçuklularda olduğu gibi, ‘Osmanlı’da İslam tasavvuftan ibarettir denilse sezadır.’
Fethullah Hoca cemaatinin çıkış noktası olan Nurculuk bir tarikat sayılmaz, ama Said Nursi tasavvufun bütün imkanlarını sonuna kadar kullanmıştır. Hareketiyle tarikatların fonksiyonunu devraldığını, Risalelerin tarikatların hulasası olduğunu söyler. Ona göre kendi yolu 12 büyük tarikatin mensuplarına hitap edecek bir mahiyete sahiptir. O bakımdan Nurculuğun tarikat işlevi gördüğü de söylenebilir.

Bu düşüncede olan Fatih Şeker söz konusu uzun makalesinde Osmanlı’daki tarikat-devlet ilişkilerini inceler. Bu iki kurum karşılıklı saygı ve dayanışma içinde olmuştur. Ama ne zaman ki tarikat, yönetime müdahale görüntüsü veya şüphesi vermişse tepelenmiştir.
Padişahlar saygı duydukları şeyhlerin bile bu konuda yanlış bir tavırlarını sezmişlerse, onları sürmüşler veya idam ettirmişlerdir. II. Mahmut, devlet otoritesini yeniden kurmak adına, uzun süre iş tuttuğu Mevlevi-Nakşi Halet Efdendi’yi bertaraf etmiştir.
Türk siyaset geleneğinde dinle devletin kaderi iç içedir. Din devlet sayesinde muhafaza edildiğine göre, devletin çöküşü dinin çöküşü demektir. Esas olan din midir, devlet midir? Bunların birini diğerine tercih mümkün değildir.

Türk dünya görüşünde devlete itaat veya isyan Tanrı’ya itaat veya isyandır. Soru şu: Etkili olması gereken devletin iradesi mi, Cemaatin iradesi midir? Yazar şuna dikkati çeker: Cemaatleri ayakta tutan şey tek seslilik, tavizsiz otorite ve disiplindir. Buna göre Gülen Cemaati siyasi iradeye yönelttiği eleştirilerle kendisine ayna tutmuştur.
Devamla şöyle der: İhtiyat dolu bir yapının bugün ihtiyata hiç lüzum duymaması çarpıcıdır. İtaat kültürünü esas alan bir zümrenin isyan damarlarının birden bire çelikten bir yay gibi gerilmesi dikkat çekicidir.
Devletin tavrı ise şöyle özetlenir: Gelinen noktada devletin otoritesine istediği gibi sahip olmak isteyen siyasi irade, öyle görünüyor ki yuvasında kuzgun yavrusu bulmuş leylek gibidir. Vaktiyle hiçbir hesaba ve kitaba sığmayacak şekilde devlet adına açtığı krediyi geri istemekte, bu zümrenin devlet sarayına içgüveysi olarak girip yerleştiğini düşünmektedir.
