Tarikat konusu mide bulandırıcı bir olayla tekrar gündeme geldi. Tarikat bir tasavvuf terimidir. Tasavvufta tarikat, insanların manevi kabiliyetlerini geliştirmek için kurulmuş dini-manevi yol demektir. Tasavvuf insanın maddesi ile manası, kalbi ile kalıbı arasındaki denge kurma gayretidir. Bu dengenin bozulması, daha çok maddenin ve bedene bağlı güçlerin, hakimiyet kurması şeklinde olmaktadır.
Bu bakımdan mananın madde karşısında ezilmemesi için özel bir gayret gösterilmesi gerekir.

Bu bakımdan tarikatların servetle, maddi varlıkla, para pulla, maddi kazanç ve dünyevi makam mevki peşinde bulunakla ilgilenmesi fevkalade yanlıştır. Tarikata vücut veren tasavvufun özüne tamamen aykırıdır. Belki başlangıçta iyi niyetle ve daha güzel hizmet vermek amacıyla bir miktar maddi varlığa sahip olmak istenebilir.
Ama bunun sonu yoktur. Hep büyümek, daha çok büyümek maddileşmenin doğasında vardır. Bu anlamda büyümek, özü unutturur. İhlas, tevazu, Allah’a yakın olma düşüncesi kaybolur. Kendi ihtiraslarını yenmek için yola çıkan kimseyi, tarikatı güçlendirme ihtirası peşine takar.

“Köklü tarikatların akçeli işlere girişmedikleri ve devletin başına kadro isterük diye dikilmedikleri sürece bu ülkenin, bu coğrafyanın kültürünün ayrılmaz bir parçası olarak görülmesi gerektiğini düşünenlerdenim” diyen Nihal Bengisu çok haklıdır.

EŞREFOĞLU RUMİ
Eşrefoğlu Rumi (ö. 1470) Tasavvuf tarihi ve Tekke şiirimizin önemli simalarından biridir. Kabri İznik’tedir. Konumuzla ilgili onun şöyle bir menkıbesi anlatılır:

Bir gün padişahın annesinin dili tutuldu.
Devrin hekimleri, bilginleri bir çare bulamadılar.
Tarikat şeyhlerine başvuruldu, onlar da “Bizler sadece tarikat usul ve merasimlerini icra eden şeyhleriyiz. Validenizi ancak İznik’te Eşrefoğlu iyileştirebilir, kendisi hal ehlidir” dediler.

İznik’e adam gönderip Eşrefoğlu’nu getirdiler. Padişah çok ikramda bulundu.
Dedi: “Validemin dili tutuldu.” Eşrefoğlu:
‘Bizim de validemiz sayılır, önümüze gelsin’ dedi. Padişahın annesini getirdiler.
Şeyh bir fincan su istedi. O suyun üzerine okuyup içmesi için valideye verdi. Suyu içince “Elhamdülillah” dedi, dili açılmıştı.
Bunu gören padişah Eşrefoğlu’na çok miktarda altın ve sair vermek istediyse de o kabul etmedi.

VAKIF ÇEŞMESİNDEN İÇMEZ
Padişah “Hiç olmazsa tekkenizi yenileyelim” dediyse de Şeyh “Padişahım, o tekke, bizim gibi nice şeyhi eskitir” deyip istemedi. Tekkesine vakıflar bağlamayı teklif edince Şeyh şöyle dedi: “Dervişler vakıf çeşmesinden su içmezler ve ondan abdest almazlar.”

İlle bir ikramda bulunmak isteyen padişahın imdadına annesi yetişti. Şeyhe dedi ki: “Ey şeyh, “ülü1-emre itaat gerekir mi?” Şeyh: “Gerekir” dedi. “Öyleyse bu altınları almalısın” deyince şeyh mecburen kabul etti.

Şeyh giderken aldığı altınları saray içinde beşer onar ona buna verdi. Meğer şeyhin altın verdiği adamların validede alacakları var imiş. On altın alacağı olana on altın vermiş. On beş altın alacağı olana on beş altın vermiş. Her kimin validede ne kadar alacağı var ise şeyh ona o kadar altın vermiş.

Eşrefoğlu İznik’teki dergahına geldi.
Neden sonra bir gün sohbet edilirken konu “terk ve fena” bahsine geldi Şeyh dedi ki: “Bir süre padişah huzurunda oturdum, eski manevi mertebemi yedi yıl sonra ancak kazanabildim.” (Bkz.
