Prof. Dr. M. Said Yazıcıoğlu (d. 1949) Fransa’da doktora yapmış bir ilahiyatçıdır. Bahtı yaver gitti, 38 yaşında iken Diyanet İşleri Başkanı oldu. Üç dönem İlahiyat Fakültesi Dekanlığı, ardından 2 dönem Ak Parti milletvekilliği yaptı. Bu sırada Devlet Bakanlığı görevinde bulundu. Bütün bu dönemlere ait anılarını anlamlı bir isim taşıyan “Ne Yan Yana Ne Karşı Karşıya” adlı 450 sayfalık kitabında anlatmaktadır (Alfa, 2013).
Yazıcıoğlu çeyrek asırlık devlet hizmeti sırasında önemli görevler ifa etti. Bunların bir kısmı olağan üstü şartlara ve dönemlere aittir. Bu sırada iyi kötü, doğru yanlış birçok olay yaşaması, pek çok insanla karşılaşması doğaldır. Kitapta dikkatimi çeken, yazarın hiçbir şekilde şahsiyat yapmaması, pek az isme yer vermesi, meseleyi kişi bazında değil, fikir ve eylem planında ele almasıdır. Sadece şunu söyleyecektir: “Yakından tanıdığımı zannettiğim bazı dost ve arkadaşlarımın siyasetteki bazı tutum ve tavırlarını hiçbir zaman anlayamadım.”
SAĞLAM KİŞİLİK
Said Yazıcıoğlu’nu birkaç defa gördüm, bazı konuşmalarını dinledim. Bende bıraktığı izlenim, fevkaladeliği olmayan bir kimse şeklindeydi. Kitabı okuyunca bu kanaatim tamamen değişti. Kendisinin sağlam karakterli ve güçlü bir kişiliğe sahip olduğunu; işine odaklanan, prensiplerine bağlı, hiçbir zaman ipe un sermeyen, son derece idealist, memleket sever ve hayli cesur biri olduğunu gördüm. Son derece mütevazı yapısı dolayısıyla reklamdan, gösterişten ve şöhret merakından uzak olduğunu anladım.
Yazıcıoğlu’nun kitabı sadece gündelik hatıralardan ibaret olmayıp, görev yaptığı bütün birimlerin nasıl daha iyi bir düzeye geleceğine dair görüşleri de dikkati çekmektedir. Gündelik hayata ait basit bir anısını şöyle anlatır:
BAKAN TAKSİDE
“Bakan olarak görev yaptığım dönemde, bir cumartesi günü, seçim bölgem olan Ankara/Siteler’de birkaç dostumu ziyaret için spor giyimli olarak evimin yakınındaki bir duraktan taksiye bindim. Eskort eşliğinde makam aracıyla değil, daha sade bir ziyaret amaçlamıştım. Taksici beni hemen tanıdı ve makam aracıyla değil de taksiyle seyahatimden çok etkilenmiş bir şekilde, bunu duraktaki arkadaşlarına anlatacağını, ağzı kalabalık bir üslupla anlattı durdu.
Ben de kendisine hangi makam olursa olsun bir gün mutlaka bunun son ereceğini, makamların gelip geçici olduğunu, dolayısıyla makam sahibi insanların zaman zaman sade vatandaş gibi hareket etmelerinde faydalar olduğunu söyledim. Taksi şoförü o kadar heyecanlanmıştı ki sürekli bir şeyler anlattı. Neyse ki gideceğim yere varınca bu fasıl da kapanmış oldu.
Bu ziyareti devletin tahsis ettiği makam aracı ve eskort eşliğinde yapmanın elbette bir sakıncası yoktu. Hatta güvenlik açısından bu belki de daha doğruydu. Ancak mizacım gereği sade vatandaş gibi hareket etmeyi, hiçbir yapmacık yönü olmadan, içimden geldiği için tercih ediyordum. Sonuçta her makam sahibi bir gün sade vatandaş olacaktır. Zaman zaman normal hayata uyumu kolaylaştıracak davranışların faydası daha sonra mutlaka görülür.”
