“Yücelerden yücesin/ Kimse bilmez nicesin/ Güzel Tanrı/ Çok cahiller seni gökte arar, yerde ister/ Sen kendin müminlerin gönlündesin/ Daim duran Cebbar Tanrı/ Ulu yollar üzerine/ İmaretler yapayım senin için/ Aç görsem doyurayım senin için/ Çıplak görsem donatayım senin için/ Alır isen ikimizin canını bile al/ Bırakırsan ikimizin canını beraber bırak/ Keremi çok Kadir Tanrı!”
Hikayeler, Oğuzların İslamiyet’e girişleri sırasındaki durumları yansıtır. Dede Korkut kişilik olarak eski Şaman ve Kam’lara benzer. Yeni dönemde ise bir evliya kimliğindedir. Hikayelere göre Dede Korkut her şeyi bilici ve gizlilerden haber vericidir. Oğuzlar arasında kutsallığı olup Tanrı’ya yakındır. Ne derse olur, keramet sahibidir. Kopuz çalarak hikmetler söyler. Dede Korkut hikayelerinde göçebe hayatın destansı dinamizmi, kahramanlık ruhu, coşkulu bir milli heyecan, bozkırın dağı taşı ve hayvanları yer alır. Nihayet sağlam, samimi bir iman ve Türkçenin zengin ifade gücü vardır.
Dede Korkut’un 2 cilt halinde yeni bir yayını yapıldı: Dede Korkut Kitabı Han’ım Hey. Eserde Korkut Ata’nın kimliği ve hikayelerin çeşitli yönlerden incelenmesi ele alınır. Kitap minyatürlerle zenginleştirilmiş çok lüks bir baskıya sahip. Dede Korkut kitabının dünyada bilinen iki orijinal yazması var. İkinci ciltte Almanya ve Vatikan’daki bu nüshaların kaliteli tıpkıbasımı verilmiş. Kültürümüzün temel kaynaklarından olan bu eseri yayımlayan Türkiye Odalar Birliği’ne ve başkan Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu’na teşekkür ederiz.

Ege Üniversitesi Türk Dünyası Araştırmaları Enstitüsü önemli bir öğretim ve kültür kurumumuzdur. Bu defa III. Uluslararası Türk Dünyası Kültür Kongresi düzenliyor. Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, UNESCO, Türk Dil Kurumu, TRT Avaz gibi çeşitli resmi kuruluşların desteklediği kongrenin konusu:
“Dede Korkut ve Türk Dünyası” Bugünden itibaren 5 gün boyunca Çeşme Ilıca Otel’de devam edecek. Çeşitli ülkelerden 240 civarında bilimadamı bildiri sunacak. Dede Korkut’un şahsiyeti, hikayelerin muhtelif yönlerden incelenmesi gibi konularda bilgi verecekler. Büyük katılımlı ve o nispette masraflı böyle bir kültür şölenine destek veren devlet kuruluşlarımıza şükran duymak gerekir. Dede Korkut sözleriyle bitirelim:
“Ecel vade ermeyince kimse ölmez/ Ölen adam dirilmez/ Çıkan can geri gelmez/ Kibirlilik eyleyeni Tanrı sevmez/ Lapa lapa kar yağsa yaza kalmaz/ Eski pamuk bez olmaz, eski düşman dost olmaz/ Ata binmeyince yol alınmaz/ Kız anadan görmeyince öğüt almaz/ Oğul atadan görmeyince sofra çekmez/ Oğul atanın sırrıdır, iki gözünün biridir/ Baba malından ne fayda, başta devlet olmasa/ Devletsizlerin şerrinden Allah saklasın Han’ım sizi!”
