Mesnevî’de eski kültürlerden süzülüp gelen çok sayıda hikâye bulunmaktadır. Elinizdeki
kitapta da bunlardan uzunlu kısalı 40 hikâye yer alıyor. Hikâyelerde geçen isimler, mekânlar,
kavramlar ve târihî olaylar hakkında kısa bilgiler veriliyor. Asıl önemlisi, hikâyelerin
tasavvufî yönü genişçe ve sade bir şekilde anlatılıyor.
